Description
Dahlias are the highlight of my late summer garden, with new blooms opening from mid-summer until frost. They come in many colors, shapes and sizes, but my heart belongs to the so-called “dinner plate” dahlias, especially those that bloom in all the warm and vibrant colors of a sunset. Each huge bloom on dahlia varieties like ‘Labyrinth' and 'Belle of Barmera' contains a slightly different combination of peaches and pinks and hints of lavender. Two or three stems can make a handsome multicolored bouquet.
I asked Tailored Pen Company to create a material that contains a mix of all those hues, complete with a bit of shimmer as a nod to the morning sun catching drops of dew on a bloom. The engraved dahlia on the nib echoes the many curly, twisting petals on my favorite varieties. Unlike the flower, the Dahlia pen can be appreciated all year round.

Dahlia features a blank designed by @nibsandflourishes, and produced by Tailored Pen Company on their Cigar model. Its style is similar to the Cylindre style but with the main difference being a smooth transition between the body and the cap. The Cigar style has rounded ends and continues almost the same size throughout the body of the pen. The stainless steel nib features a dahlia artwork engraving.
