Cylint (Cylinder + Intelligent) fountain pen by Sailor presents a unique design merging stainless steel and intelligent engineering. Its solid black hue is enhanced by a deep, Urushi lacquer-like finish, evoking an elegant, luxurious aesthetic. Equipped with 21K Gold with Black Ion plated nib.
Using a new electrolytic coloring technology, Sailor was able to bring a beautiful deep black color to life, while also keeping the metallic nature of the material. Different from plating or paint application, this technology involves developing an ultrathin black oxide layer on the surface of the material, leveraging light interference for color recognition. Therefore, there is no concern of peeling, and it offers durability and weatherability, as the material itself takes on the color. With the metallic nature intact, a highly durable, functional and stylish black design that does not fade was made possible.
