Kevin Zogg is the founder and sole artisan of Zogg Analog Studio. Some of his work draws deep personal meaning from his background. Some of his unique resin pours were inspired by his parents' family farm; crafting highly sentimental color mixtures to honor those roots when turning custom pens. Other inspiration stems from a mix of natural phenomena, thematic narratives, and natural light shifts. His design offers patterns that shifts dynamically as a pen turner shears away the material on a lathe.


His signature technique is most famous for replicating the organic, iridescent inner shells of marine life, best showcased in his Abalone series and also does complex wisps, waves, and shimmering layers that aren't just on the surface of the resin block but carry through the entire body of the blank as seen in his Gilded (Gold Leaf) and Argent (Silver Leaf) collections; with his Gilded Rose as one of his other best sellers.

Their Story

Zogg Analog studio started three years ago. In 2023, Kevin Zogg restored his grandfather’s old wood lathe and when the machine was up and running, he was inspired to experiment with the craft of pen turning. Since then, his early equipment setup has expanded allowing him to also discover a deep fascination with raw material creation. He began mixing and casting his own custom resin blanks, which quickly became his true joy and the defining signature of the Zogg Analog Studio Brand.

Our Story

For Kevin, making pens has never been about perfection — it’s about the process. Each blank is a little meditation: slowing down, trying something new, seeing what the materials want to become. He’s endlessly grateful for a community that cheers him on along the way. His posts often close with the words he tries to live by:

“Practice gratitude and choose joy.”

When Kevin is not busy making blanks, cute cat pen rests, or pens, he works his day job.
