The Pennonia story began in 2016 in the small, culturally rich town of Carei. Initially conceived as a retailer for fountain pens and accessories, the company found its true calling in late 2020 by pivoting exclusively to the art of ink making. The brand was officially born in 2018 from founder Máté Bikfalvi's deep-seated passion for fine writing, a passion nurtured during his decade-long career as an English teacher. A pivotal move to Budapest expanded his connections within the hobby, leading to his role as co-host of the Hungary Pen Show. This journey of passion and focus has transformed Pennonia from a local idea into a world-renowned brand.
