Little Hollow Customs

Their Team

Little Hollow Customs began as a creative outlet for Logan, making ballpoint pens in his spare time between work trips. When he discovered the world of fountain pens, he had to try making one just to see if he could, and thus began the slippery slope that we all know too well.

Soon, he started making fountain pens whenever he could, using his engineering background to add and improve small features, making the process repeatable to create reliable pens that people love to use! He is always looking for a new way to challenge himself with new models or improvements to current ones.

Now, it's a family affair with Em helping to polish the pens as well as pouring new resins, and their daughters, Melody and Ryleigh, picking out which pens should be made next and even durability testing for them at times.

While they love making the pens and getting to go through the process of taking it from a rod of material to a finished fountain pen, getting to go to the shows and share their craft with others definitely fights for that top favorite spot of the whole process.

Their Story

Little Hollow Customs was created in 2022 with ballpoint kit pens, and they started selling bespoke fountain pens in 2024.

Logan uses an engineering approach to create unique designs and solutions, and enjoys working with other independent artists to combine skillsets and bring completely new artwork to life. Some examples of this include the pens made with Gem Bronze and other custom metal alloys, and the carved pens such as the Monster Fingers.

Learning to make pens through experimentation and making mistakes has resulted in some of their most unique design features and products. Details like their signature concave bottom finial on their resin pens, and products like the PRS rollerball adapter, can be directly traced back to their outside the box approach. This has also led to them making the metal hybrid pens, which feature a solid metal section for added weight and detail.

Our Story

The "Little Hollow" brand actually came from the meaning of Logan's name, which has a Scottish Gaelic origin. This has been a way of signing their work without literally branding as "Logan's Customs", and serves as proof that they are proud of their work and stand behind the end product. The "Scribbles" squirrel logo was originally created as a sticker design for their first pen show, with the idea of using an animal that would live in a hollow, and became the shop mascot and logo after they became known as "the table with the squirrel". Since then, Scribbles has become an integral part of their brand and truly made Little Hollow his home.
