About the Creative

I've been into fountain pen and ink collections as well as journaling since 2018. I collect books, card games, board games, mechanical keyboards, and graphic novels. I paint and am into arts and crafts, but I just do it when I have free time. I also write poems, short articles, and short stories when I have the urge to write. A very shy and private person, my blog byline is "When the pen cries, it pours..."

Interview with @poetryjunkies

How did you fall down the rabbit hole of fountain pens and stationery? AKA, the moment that made you fall in love with writing tools and supplies?

I worked on the analytical side most of the time; I wanted to find something to look forward to and not think the way I do about work. I have an engineering degree, so I have some experience with drafting. I wanted to do calligraphy, the art of writing beautifully, makes me calm. That's when I fell down the rabbit hole.

What do you do for work? Is there any way this hobby is intermingled with your work?

I'm a digital marketing channels analyst for ecomm / other form of websites.

What else are you into that you would like to share with people to better know you?

I'm into books, poetry, graphic novels, mechanical keyboards, card and board games, console games etc.

What words/quote would you like to share to other aspiring creatives?

Find something to look forward to, and for me, that's the art of beautiful writing.

What do you believe is the best starter fountain pen? Where should people start?

TWSBI or Pilot Parallel Calligraphy Pen.

What's your go-to pen and ink combo?

It depends on my mood, but I like orange inks since they make me happy. For regular writing, I go for Diamine Graphite/ Asa Blue / Mint.
