Interview with @artynijp
How did you fall down the rabbit hole of fountain pens and stationery? AKA, the moment that made you fall in love with writing tools and supplies.
Stationery is just something that calls to me whenever I see them at bookstores ever since I was a kid. So when snail mails were still a big thing, I used to write to my friends and my dad when he was working abroad using the stationery tools I collected over the years. Fountain pens are a bit recent for me. One of my friends happens to be a fountain pen connoisseur. She gave me some beginner pens and showed me around the community where I got to try pens I could only dream of owning. I think I fell in love with the community first before the pens!
What do you do for work? Is there any way this hobby is intermingled with your work?
I do freelancing both as a graphic artist and a traditional artist. Funnily enough, this hobby is interwoven more in my graphic design style than my actual art style.
What else are you in to that you would like to share with people to better know you?
My most favorite genre of music is metal. More likely than not, ideas for my artworks are borne from a single line of angry lyrics of a metal song. (I'm always open to any genre of music recs though!)
