The time has finally come. After a year of hard work, countless revisions, endless art sessions, tests, refinements, adjustments, and dreams, the Van Dieman's 2025 Boxed Collection is now available. This collection is their most ambitious, detailed, and stunning one yet, and we're thrilled to share it with you. The 2025 theme celebrates the remarkable insects that inhabit our world, with each month featuring a unique species paired with an ink that captures its color, character, and natural beauty. From sparkling beetles to delicate-winged moths and vibrant wasps, we poured our hearts, original artwork, specialized printing, and custom accessories into this twelve-ink project.
The 2025 Boxed Collection includes:
Twelve Micro Batch Inks, 15ml Each
A full year of carefully crafted fountain pen inks. Each one has its own formula, personality and artistic identity. Shading, sheen and shimmer are used purposefully to reflect the essence of the featured insect. From the saturated blue and copper sheen of Jewel Beetle in January to the multi-chromatic glow of Christmas Beetle in December, the set carries you through a complete exploration of color.
A Custom Printed Art Booklet Featuring All Twelve Artworks and Their Stories
Belinda’s artworks have become a cornerstone of these collections, and for 2025 she was joined by Ryan Rivers and the Van Dieman’s team for two of the pieces. Every artwork is printed in vibrant color in a landscape booklet designed exclusively for this release. Alongside each piece is a detailed write up about the insect that inspired it and the formulation behind its matching ink. It is our most beautiful booklet to date.
Twelve Custom Swatch Cards
Each month has its own swatch card printed on high quality stock, featuring the line art of that ink’s insect. These cards let you record how the inks look in your own pens on your own paper. They turn the boxed set into a personal record of your experience with the inks.
Four Gold Foiled Sticker Sheets
Twelve insects rendered in metallic gold, die cut and ready to decorate your notebooks, planners or storage boxes. These sticker sheets were designed to be both decorative and collectable, a little extra sparkle to match the nature of the collection.
A Twenty Five Dollar Van Dieman’s Gift Card
Every boxed collection contains a real printed gift card valued at twenty five Australian dollars to use at www.vandiemansink.com. Whether you use it for another favorite ink or a bottle of shimmer to mix with your collection, it is our way of saying thank you for supporting this project.
Twelve Sheets of A5 Tomoe River Paper
You will find a full set of Tomoe River sheets included so you can test each ink on a premium paper known for sheen, shimmer and shading. These sheets let you see exactly what each formula is capable of.
A Custom Printed, Rose Gold Stamped Gift Box
The collection is housed in a thick, sturdy, high quality gift box printed in deep green with soft floral motifs and rose gold metallic stamping that catches the light beautifully. It is the most luxurious box we have ever made, and it presents the collection as something truly special.

February: Peacock Spider
Vibrant teal leaning green with bold red sheen. Energetic, lively and full of personality.
March: Luna Moth
Soft green with gentle shading and a calm golden shimmer that warms the page.
April: Firefly
Golden amber that shifts from warm honey to bright glow. A soft flicker of shimmer mimics the light of a firefly at dusk.
May: Ladybug
A saturated classic red with strong dark shading that reflects the charming contrast of this garden icon.
June: Orchid Mantis
A cool toned lilac and pink shader with a delicate pearlescent silver shimmer.
July: Ebony Jewelwing
A blue black green with rich depth and an electric copper shimmer. Dramatic but elegant.
August: Monarch Butterfly
A bright orange with exceptional shading. Warm, highly legible and smooth.
September: Cuckoo Wasp
A cool light green with an electric blue metallic shimmer that glows on the page.
October: Honey Bee
A warm golden brown with rose gold shimmer, designed to reflect Tasmania’s precious pollinators.
November: Rainbow Scarab
Deep vibrant green with a warm undertone, strong red sheen and multichromatic shimmer that flows through gold, green, blue and rare hints of rose pink.
December: Christmas Beetle
A copper brown multi-chromatic shader with gold to green to blue shimmer that shifts dramatically with light and angle.
