The Arashiyama bamboo forest can be found in Kyoto, Japan. It is a serene and beautiful 500 meter stroll, while the tall green bamboos sway gently on either side. RM and I visited this place once a few years back, and it remains one of the destinations we’d like to return to. It is also a memory I go back to often — one filled with golden sunlight and the soft chirping of birds, the whisper of cold winter wind.
The bamboo is symbolic of resilience, strength, and prosperity. And as we come upon the half-way mark of 2022, this is my simple wish for us all. May you have an enduring strength, and may the universe bring more comfort, security, and peace your way.
The world has opened up, but beyond the clutches of the global pandemic, there lies more challenges still — both external and internal. I think that nature teaches us so much all the time. I hope that this June (and for the rest of this year), you can claim space to listen to the winds, the earth around you, and the voice within you.
