Bamboo with a hollow inner was given the meaning of modest and open-minded by people, its branches bend but are not broken so people make it as the principle of life and the symbol of high and upright in character.

The upper hollow and straight part of Arhat bamboo, symbolizing humility and honesty, is carefully sealed with hard-to-process Mokumegane at the top and bottom, and further strengthened through 15 layers of urushi painting and a Mokumegane inlaid ring near the grip.

On this finest bamboo pen, the designer uses gold-depicted maki-e to outline different sizes of dragonfly like it comes alive and flying in the bamboo forest, given the meaning of love for all seasons and the blessing of all the wishes come true.
