When Absinthe still had hallucinagenic qualities, they would often call drinking the beverage 'chasing the Green Fairy' Since then, the image of this fairy has been associated with Absinthe. She's been featured on bottles, absinthe spoons, in posters and even on absinthe sugar cubes.
